Savusavu Hospital, Vanua Levu 

Join the Loloma Foundation surgical team in Savusavu, Fiji, as we provide essential care for pre-screened patients at Savusavu Hospital.

Each day, the team will work in the operating theater performing a range of surgical procedures. Five days are dedicated to surgery, with Saturdays free to explore the island and experience the beauty and culture of Vanua Levu.

About Savusavu Hospital

Savusavu Hospital is a fully functioning, electrified 50-bed inpatient hospital. The facility includes children’s, men’s, women’s, and obstetric wards staffed by resident nurses, as well as an operating theater, labor-and-delivery room, and on-site pharmacy.

Loloma Foundation maintains a dedicated supply of medications and surgical equipment to support our missions.

Accommodations

Volunteers will stay at Koro Sun Resort & Rainforest Spa, a 160-acre sanctuary on Vanua Levu. The resort combines warm Fijian hospitality with lush tropical surroundings and clear, inviting waters for a truly memorable island experience.

Program Cost

$TBA USD per person

The program cost includes:

  • Round-trip economy airfare from Los Angeles to Savusavu, Fiji, including all taxes and surcharges

  • Domestic ground transfers

  • Required temporary medical and dental licenses

  • Seven nights’ accommodation at Koro Sun Resort

  • Seven days of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, excluding beverages

Not included:

  • Beverages

  • Diving, snorkeling, and excursions during time off

  • Trip-cancellation insurance

Payment Schedule

An initial, non-refundable deposit of $2,000 USD is due by October 1.

Final payment details will be announced. Final payment is due by December1.
