HAND SURGERY WEEK 2

 Five days of surgery and Sunday at  leisure to explore the island.

The hospital is a fully functioning, electrified (daylight hours only) 40 bed inpatient hospital with two resident physicians who live on site.  There are children's, men's, women's and obstetrics wards on site with resident nurses. A very nice operating theater is on site together with a labor and delivery room.    There is also a pharmacist who often has a full stock of medications. Loloma Foundation maintains a full supply of medications and surgical supplies on site.

 

Accommodations will be at AROHA RESORT www.arohataveuni.com .  Aroha is a small, family-owned venue with a pool, on the water and close to the hospital.

 

$3350.00 USD per person.  Includes:

  • round trip economy class air from Los Angeles to Taveuni Island, Fiji, inclusive of all taxes and surcharges

  • domestic land transfers to/from Taveuni Airport, Hospital

  • all applicable temporary medical and dental licenses

  • 7 nights accommodation at Aroha Resort

  • 7 days of B,L and D, exclusive of beverages

 

Not Included:  diving, snorkeling and excursions on your day off.​

Taveuni Island is part of the Northern Lau group and offers many stellar activities to fill your leisure allocation.  There is great diving and snorkeling and hiking.  The island is known as “The Garden Island” and sports a rural population of 14,000 Fijians.  Indo-Fijians, part-europeans, chinese and indigenous Fijians all peacefully co-exist in this verdant, rural paradise.
